the sun shone on my back, its rays sank into my fut and drowned in my dark coat like a spider trapped in a bath tub that was slowly filling.
i was sitting and thinking, i had to cross the lake somehow. i looked at my surroundings, i was in a vast clearing and surrounded by large pine trees, i was sitting on the silky grass, but a phew paces ahead of me the grass turned to pebbles as it reached the lake. it was a long lake, about half a mile long, and i was not a strong swimmer. i got up and dipped my paw in, it was cold, very cold, too cold. i shivered, across the lake it grew slimmer, i saw a small dam made by beavers.
